Whenever you find a setting like this do you ever think, “Well this is just too damn easy.” ?

@jivcoff

Well, good question, and the answer is yes!

There are two situations how to make a good skate photo I think.. The first one is to find a perfect spot and then everything else goes “easy”, and the second is to get the most out of an average or bad looking spot. I think good photographers are the ones who can cope with the second situation.

I was waiting to shoot this photo about a month or so.. The first time we went there security kicked us out after just one try which ofcourse didn’t turn out good.. How weird, isn’t it? After that, we went there few times again to ask a director of the building for permission. When we finally got it, it took us about an hour to make this photo. I have to admit I’m satisfied.

I feel better knowing you had to come back multiple times to get the shot. Just so it wasn’t that easy ;)

It definitely wasn’t. Not because of the composition, I visualised exactly this comp in my head the first time I spotted this place. But the right body position and the moment were the hardest thing about it.

The security cameras do a lot in this, it’d look pretty weird without them I think. Great photo

@sam_balukonis

Yeah, I think the same thing about the surveillance. A friend of mine suggested to clone them out in PS, but as I said → No way. =)

Thanks!
